Cornbury Park Estate - Oxfordshire

We were tasked with refurbishing an old grain store which had seen better days. It had a leaking fibre cement roof and sides with rotten railway sleepers around the lower walls. The structural steel had built up many years of surface rust and needed to be revived.

We stripped the building back to the main frame, shot blasted the steelwork, created new door openings for two new aircraft hangar doors, replaced all purlins, reclad the building using built up insulation and introduced all new valley & boundary gutters. We installed two 12m wide hangar doors, a new sectional overhead door and fire escapes throughout. We also cast a new floorslab, landscaped outside the building and created a new tarmac road to the nearby aircraft landing strip. The overall dimensions of the building were 28m wide x 56m long x 4.5m eaves.
