Hangar refit - Bognor Regis
The brief on this project was to improve an existing hangar, our scope of work included:
Remove original off-centred sliding doors
Make structural opening larger and brace the frame ready to accept the new hangar door
Install a full width galvanised roller shutter with external canopy to make use of the full width of the building ready for the customers airplane
Install a new fire escape with concrete ramp into the side elevation of the hangar
As the hangar was installed by others onto concrete bases it meant that it had been left with a grass floor. The customer asked us to provide a new precision power floated concrete floor with a 12m x 12m external ramp to provide access into the hangar for his aeroplane.
We finished off the hangar with new sill flashings all round to protect the hangar from rodents and water ingress
