Recycling Centre - Cardiff

We have provided two buildings for this recycling centre in Cardiff. The first building was a biomass boiler shed. We were asked to provide somewhere for a biomass boiler to be housed which meant the building needed to be fairly tall as an excavator was used to load the hopper. The building itself utilised a galvanised steel frame measuring 10m wide x 20m long x 6m eaves.

The second building we provided was a HGV workshop. The building chosen for this task was a hot rolled portal frame measuring 17m wide x 30m long x 6m eaves. It had a total of 5 bays of which 4 had full width & height roller shutter entrances to allow HGV’S to be worked on over the top of the access pits cast into the concrete floor.
